Trainee Scholarly Publication Grant Program
Supporting Scholarly Publication by Arkansas Medical Trainees
The Arkansas Diabetes & Endocrinology Education Foundation (ADEEF) is pleased to support medical students, residents, and fellows in Arkansas who are contributing to clinical research, case reports, and scientific publishing in diabetes, endocrinology, and related fields.
With the rapid expansion of medical education in Arkansas, ADEEF recognizes the importance of helping trainees share meaningful clinical work. Article processing charges and open-access publication fees can be a barrier to publication, especially for trainees. This grant program provides financial support of up to $1,000 per accepted manuscript.

Eligibility Guidelines
Applicant Qualifications
Applicants must be actively enrolled in an accredited Arkansas medical school, residency program, or fellowship program at the time of submission.
Applicants must be listed as First Author or Co-First Author on the accepted manuscript.
The manuscript must clearly cite an institutional affiliation within Arkansas.
Eligible Scholarly Work
Priority will be given to publications related to diabetes mellitus, endocrinology, metabolic disorders, lipidology, obesity management, cardiometabolic health, and primary care endocrine interventions.Eligible submissions may include peer-reviewed clinical research, educational case reports, and scholarly work highlighting novel presentations, clinical insights, or management strategies.Papers must be accepted in peer-reviewed journals indexed in established databases such as PubMed, MEDLINE, Scopus, or Web of Science. Predatory journals are strictly excluded.
Application Requirements
Applicants must submit a complete application package within 30 days of manuscript acceptance.

Completed ADEEF Grant Application Form

Official journal acceptance letter

Final accepted manuscript draft, including full author list and abstract

Official publisher itemized invoice or paid receipt

Faculty advisor or attending endorsement sign-off

Brief relevance statement of 200 words or fewer explaining the significance of the work to clinical practice or Arkansas healthcare
Required Grant Acknowledgment
Recipients must include the following acknowledgment in the final published manuscript:
“Financial support for the publication fees of this article was provided in part by the Arkansas Diabetes & Endocrinology Education Foundation (ADEEF).”
